Awesome Pictures of Jack!!!!!

Our friends Steph Rafacz (Laura's former roommate) and Caleb Atkins (who are getting married in 2 months!!!) take beautiful wedding pictures. They took some AMAZING pictures of Jack for us! I know I posted a lot of pictures, but it's only because they're so awesome! Believe it or not, I didn't even post all of them :o) Thanks so much you two!!!!!!

Jack's baby dedication at church was this past Sunday. Caleb took this picture for us after church. More pictures of the dedication to come....

Rolling Over!!

I finally captured it on video!! Jack's fussy in this video because he had just rolled over twice, then I decided to get the camera out ... I think he was tired of it by then :o)

Top 5 ways you know you have a big baby:

5. He's bigger than all the other babies in the nursery that are around his age.
4. His doctors are surprised at how much weight he's gaining.
3. Everyone tells you that you have good milk.
2. An old lady that you barely know keeps saying, "He must be getting some good nutrition."
1. Your almost 4 month old baby fits into 6 month clothes!!

YES, Jack is getting HUGE!! And we love every chunky roll of him! :o)

All giggles...

This first video is my favorite! We blew up a few balloons for our friend's mom who had a birthday coming up. Jack thought the balloons were hilarious!!

A daddy and his boy :o)

(I apologize for the lack of spacing on this post - I put spaces in there, they're just not showing up when I publish the post.)
Luke was playing with Jack while he was getting him ready for bed:
I LOVE listening to Luke read to Jack!!
We have more videos and pictures to post, but the videos were taking FOREVER to upload last night. We'll get the rest of them up soon!
A side note:
I (Laura) took Jack down to Georgia this past weekend BY MYSELF!! I was so nervous before the trip about traveling alone with a 3.5 month old. The trip down was terrible!! Jack was teething (yes, teething - can you believe it??) and incredibly fussy! Luckily I had planned to stop in SC for the night with Luke's family....got to see Micah play a soccer game :o)
We had a great time in GA! Got some great things at Sarah and Andrew's estate sale. Thoroughly enjoyed both services at Crosspoint. Got to see some people that I haven't seen in years! Despite the tough drive down, I was very glad I went. The drive back up was MUCH MUCH better! Jack slept the majority of the time and I guess that tooth wasn't bothering him anymore. AND when I got back, Luke had the house all cleaned up!!!! What an amazing husband!!!!!!!

More homemade cleaning supplies

I am a part of the MOPS (Mothers of PreSchoolers) group at my church. Yesterday we had a speaker that talked about going green and saving money. Here are some more cleaning supplies tips and recipes I got from her. I haven't tried any of them yet, but I hope to once my cleaning supplies run out.

White Vinegar - dissolved dirt, cleans soap scum, hard water deposits, absorbs odor, fabric softener, and fruit and vegetables

Baking Soda - use in place of abrasive powder cleaners, unclogs slow moving drains .... use it like comet

Rubbing Alcohol - disinfectant and glass cleaner

Lemon Juice - shines brass and copper, cleans soap scum, water deposits and drains

Hydrogen Peroxide - **careful! This will bleach things!!** cleans toilets and bathrooms, disinfectant, safe and easy for septic tanks, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-mold. It's a mild acid...same as bleach

Ok...now on to the recipes!

Furniture Polish - one cup olive oil, half cup lemon juice
Glass Cleaner - one cup alcohol, one cup water, one tablespoon vinegar
Fruit and Vegetable Cleaners - one cup vinegar, one cup water
Bathroom Cleaner - splash straight peroxide right on your sponge or cloth for cleaning bathrooms and kitchens
Stainless Steel - 100% white vinegar placed on clean cotton cloth, then wipe
Carpet Shampoo - half cup laundry detergent, one teaspoon ammonia, one tablespoon white vinegar, 4 cups hot water
Leather Cleaner -one cup white vinegar, two tablespoons olive oil. mix well and test on small area
Oven Cleaner - 5 tablespoons baking soda, 4 tablespoons white vinegar, a few drops of dish soap. make paste and leave on for 30 minutes. (you can add salt to make it more abbrasive.)

A couple more videos...

I guess I've been on a video kick lately. Jack is becoming much more active and does more cute things every day. I can really start to see his personality coming out, too :o)

I put Jack down on his play mat yesterday morning and he was WAY more active with it that usual! The video doesn't completely capture how playful he was being, but I didn't want to bore you with a super long video. And...sorry about the poor angle. Every time I would get up it would distract him and he'd start looking at me instead of playing.

We finally got a little giggle on video! yay!! Luke was playing with Jack when he got home from work and Jack was really enjoying it. He does one tiny giggle in this video! I can't wait until he starts laughing more...it's just so cute!!!
