Jack has been smiling at us more and more lately. Luke managed to snap a picture of him smiling this morning. He's such a cutie!!

Tummy Time

Jack has been turning his head for a little while when on his tummy and I finally captured it on video :) The video's a little long...it took him a while to decide he wanted to turn his head.

Michigan

Jack's first taste of Michigan snow!

Jack take a bottle!

Last Wednesday before we left for our trip to Michigan, Luke tried giving Jack a bottle for the first time. We thought it would make things easier in the airport and on the plane. I wasn't getting my hopes up, but he took the bottle on the first try!! We were able to give him several bottles during the events of the weekend. I thought he might not take a bottle from me, but he didn't mind that either! I guess the boy will take food howevery he can get it :)

Jack's Checkup

Sorry I've been so terrible about posting things on our blog. It's amazing how I feel like I stay busy all day long, then at the end of the day I feel like I didn't get anything done!

I took Jack to the doctor yesterday for his 6 week checkup. He's a healthy boy!! Here's his new measurement:
Weight: 11 lbs, 1 oz (50%-75%)
Height: 23.5 in. (75%-90%)
Head Circumference: 15 cm

I have pictues and a video of Jack that I need to post, so look for those soon!

Another First

Last night Jack was falling in and out of sleep in my arms. Unless he's really in a deep sleep, he won't let me put him down in his crib. BUT last night I put him in his crib and turned on his mobile (which we just put up a few days ago). He stared at it and he went to sleep!! Thank you God for crib mobiles!

An update from my post a few days ago. The past 3 nights Jack has had much longer stretches without nursing. Now, he not asleep for the entire stretch....he usually falls asleep around midnight. Here's how the past 3 night have been: 6.5 hours between feedings, 5 hours, 6 hours! I hope this continues!!

Jack's New Year's Resolution

Happy New Year everyone!! Last night Jack had an amazing break through and I hope it continues! He went 6.5 hours between feedings!! woo hoo! Now, he wasn't asleep for that whole time - he was probably asleep for the last 4.5 hours of that stretch. And I got to sleep around 4 hours straight. What an amazing thing!
