We're watching my brother and sister in law's dog this week, so Jack and I have gone outside every morning to let him and Levi out (we have an invisible fence, so normally we just let Levi out and we stay inside). This morning was no different....until we got back inside. Jack kept bringing me his Crocs and saying, "shoes, shoes, shoes." I knew what he wanted, but I just said, "yes, those are shoes" and tried to ignore him because I didn't want to go back out at the moment. He proceeded to bring me my flip flops and tried to put them on my feet. After that, he brought a dog bowl and said, "dog, dog." I said, "Do you want to take the dogs outside?" "Yes!" and he ran to the door.
So, I put his crocs on over his footed jammies and we went back outside with the dogs....and brought the bubbles with us this time :)
Having fun running outside:
Playing with Levi:
Jack loves to sit on the front step with me :)
While I had the camera outside, I thought I'd take a picture of my Dahilias to show you. Remember our super generous neighbors who gave us all the veggies? Well, they also gave us 3 Dahilia plants. One of them has come up. I'm not sure why some of the leaves are missing chunks! The other 2 have yet to show themselves....I hope I didn't drown them!!
On a side note, our son is becoming quite the artist.....well, at least he likes to draw! But only with pen. Here's a picture of some artwork from today proudly displayed on our fridge:

You have snails/slugs. I have them too. All of my new plants look like that and sometimes if they really like them the plants disappear all together. Snail bait will help, I am not diligent enough to keep my problem at bay.
